Dorothy was born in 1853 in Egremont, LANCASHIRE.  Dorothy's father was James High and her mother was Hannah Dobie.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas High and Elizabeth. She had three sisters named Ruth Ann, Jane and Isobella.  She was the third oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 82 on March 16th, 1935.
