Robert Armistead

Robert was born in 1889 in Scales, Aldingham, Lancashire. Robert's father was Robert Armistead and his mother was Isobella High. His paternal grandparents were James Armistead and Sarah Jackson; his maternal grandparents were James High and Hannah Dobie. He had a brother and nine sisters, named Wilfred, Nellie, Isabell, Elizabeth, Agnes, Annie, Mary, Edith, Dorothy and Sarah H. He was the seventh oldest of the eleven children.
