Charles Slingsby

Charles was born in 1873 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England. Charles' father was Thomas Slingsby and his mother was Hannah Crossley. His paternal grandmother was Sarah E Greenwood; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Crossley and Susannah Sargeson. He had two brothers and a sister, named Frank, Walter and Fanny. He was the second oldest of the four children.
