Walter Slingsby

Walter was born in 1874 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England. Walter's father was Thomas Slingsby and his mother was Hannah Crossley. His paternal grandmother was Sarah E Greenwood; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Crossley and Susannah Sargeson. He had two brothers and a sister, named Frank, Charles and Fanny. He was the third oldest of the four children.
