George Armistead

George was born on June 8th, 1854 in Aldingham.¹ George's father was James Armistead and his mother was Sarah Jackson. His paternal grandparents were Robert Armistead and Anne Pickthall. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, James, Agnes, Dorothy, Sarah, Eleanor, Mary, Isabella and Margaret. He was the third oldest of the ten children.
