John McVie

John was born about 1834 in KILMARNOCK Ayrshire Scotland. John's father was John McVie and his mother was Jean Ness. His paternal grandparents were Samuel McVie and Jean McFadzean; his maternal grandparents were William Ness and Agnes Sillars. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, William, Thomas, Adam, Alexander, David, James, Agnes, Jean and Christina. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died on March 22nd, 1856 in Croft Inn, Dreghorn, Ayrshire.
