Samuel McVie

Samuel was born on May 17th, 1829 in Coylton, Ayrshire. Samuel's father was John McVie and his mother was Jean Ness. His paternal grandparents were Samuel McVie and Jean McFadzean; his maternal grandparents were William Ness and Agnes Sillars. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named William, John, Thomas, Adam, Alexander, David, James, Agnes, Jean and Christina. He was the second oldest of the eleven children.
